(Forgive crappy selfies, I finished this at work.)
I favorited a lot of large shawls with fringe on Ravelry, and started with this one. You can see an error I made in the lace about 1/3 of the way up, but overall this shawl is gorgeous I think.
I used Araucania Pomaire Solid in color 65- a shade of purple. And it is GORGEOUS. It’s soft and the shade is so rich even after washing it. It used about 1.25 skeins of yarn- so around 300 yards.
This was actually a really quick knit- I just don’t knit nearly as often as I used to. The shawl itself is gorgeous. I put a lot more fringe than the pattern called for- about every two inches. Since I used a cotton, I knitting until it was about 30 inches from the cast on edge. It only gained about 3 inches in height from blocking.
I really, really love this pattern and this shawl. And the color of the araucania yarn is gorgeous. 100% pleased!
I can’t wait to wear this to Renaissance Festival.
It’s that time again! Here is another terrible picture of my knitting (I really need a better camera). This is the Lover’s Knot Afghan which I made for my husband. It took exactly a month to finish. And now I have started blanket making madness since my kids both want one. I’ll never get them done in a month, but I’m hoping to be finished by Christmas.
I also really want to get started on some sweaters for myself that I’ve been dying to have, but with school starting this may be my last finished project in a while. :/
this is BEAUTIFUL
TUMBLR I FINALLY FINISHED KNITTING THIS AND I ACTUALLY MANAGED TO SEAM IT UP, WHAT A MOMENTOUS OCCASION PLS CELEBRATE WITH ME IN CAPLOCKED FASHION
wow i love that. pattern?
The yarn used in this infinity scarf is some if the coolest, and softest, found in any of our pieces! And this retro yellow is a personal favourite of mine.
I have the most epic winter barn socks now. And I got some neon stripey sock yarn yesterday so I’m guessing there’s some neon knee highs coming up, craaaazy stuff.
wow those are amazing. do you knit them magic loop or on DPNs?
Progress on my Ashton shawl - Chart B and it’s 5 repeats are finished!
